I find this a good simple book that very clearly describes the "myth" of the famous Gemba walks. Coming from a service background I always found manufacturing books talking about Gemba walks but none of them seemed to be able to properly describe it. This book brought some clarity to my mind regarding what they are, their purpose and how they should be done.

Great detail and written in a clear, concise manner. I was extremely pleased with the detail that Mr. Bremer used to describe the strps of a Gemba Walk - and also the true gains that can be made if the process is done correctly.

Michael has written a very good book detailing why and how to do effective Gemba walks. I appreciate how he builds upon the Toyota Kata process that Mike Rother first introduced in manufacturing plants at another company where I was a lean leader for over a decade.
