I have found that most hormonal imbalances (which contribute to 40 percent of documented cases of infertility, yet are considered untreatable by conventional Western medicine) respond to Eastern methods of treatment." In Lewis's experience, women who have undergone three to six months of the dietary changes, herbs and acupuncture treatments become pregnant with no further effort. Lewis intersperses her somewhat technical examination of the program with anecdotes about her patients, weaving in discussions on diet, herbal supplements, acupuncture, older women and problems related to infertility. Lewis writes well and simplifies many complex concepts, such as the theory that there are four vital substances in the body (Yin, Yang, Qi and Blood), and that they're likely to be suffering from imbalance caused by energy excess, deficiency or stagnation. However, she trusts that her view is the solution for all infertile couples. Three years of undiagnosed infertility with 2 early miscarriages including 2 failed clomid cycles and 2 failed hcg rounds (causing uterine polyps I had to have surgically removed), I purchased this book as a last hope at the end of June 2015. By mid-July I started weekly acupuncture, mediterranean diet, and Chinese herbs (prescribed by acupuncturist). Mid November we were pregnant, with TWINS and the pregnancies stuck! :) The twins part is probably due to me taking Vitex and Maca root (not prescribed by acupuncturist). Never thought we could have one, so two was amazing! I also did a fertility promoting mix of essential oils in my diffuser every night before bed and drank Traditionals Medicine Healthy Cycle tea 3 times daily. I 100% believe that I would still be hopelessly trying if I wouldn't have purchased this book. It gave me hope and it gave me the tools to get my uterus healthy enough to finally implant and maintain not one, but two pregnancies. Please try this method before you put your body through all the harsh chemicals the doctors will push. They want to skip the problem to get to a quick solution, but at the expense of your health. This method works out the problem (mine being kidney deficiency), so that your body gets itself to the solution (healthy habitable uterus). I wish everyone luck and baby dust!

After years of trying and not understanding why I wasn't pregnant especially after two easy back to back pregnancies in my late 20s we turned to a fertility specialist in Kansas City. My fsh was higher than she likes to see at 10.5. I did a round of IUI ( which failed but at least we felt like we did something) I bought this book and a yoga for infertility DVD. We were living in rural Kansas at the time so what I had access to was EXTREMELY limited. I had exactly ZERO sessions of acupuncture.. No herbal specialist or access to Chinese herbs but I read this book carefully and added herbs and vitamins I felt safe using that I could order off amazon. Within 3 months my 3 day fsh was 3.0.... THREE (I know they always say only take your highest fsh into consideration but please read on) that same month I got pregnant which resulted in a miscarriage and completely knocked us on our butts for a couple weeks .. But it also gave me the hope that I could get pregnant! Three months after the miscarriage I was pregnant again and this time with a very healthy baby boy who is currently napping beside of me.I can't promise this will work but I'm glad I spent the money on the book. I truly believe it helped me!Edit: I also did a gluten free diet (I don't have celiac or gluten intolerance as far as I know) but want you to know exactly what I did.

I accidentally downloaded this digital book when I thought I was putting it in my cart, but what a blessing!! I wish I had bought this 5 years ago. After reading this in a day and a half, I realized that my imbalances stemmed from a major illness 6 years ago. It was like a lightbulb turned on over my head and I suddenly understood how everything was connected, from our miscarriages to my thyroid to my weight gain, thinning hair and even my cold feet! The Chinese herbs CAN be found right here on Amazon. I ordered everything that was recommended and started to notice a difference in some of my smaller symptoms within a week. I am so hopeful and optimistic, but I believe I finally have found my answers. Completely by accident.

This book changed my entire way of thinking! I had been trying to get pregnant for four years when I bought this book. After four failed IVF cycles and doctors telling me I could not get pregnant I decided to try something different. The book is fascinating, and after changing my diet, drinking Chinese herbal tea, and attending acupuncture I ended up getting pregnant naturally! This book gave me hope and I recommend it to everyone who has been dealing with infertility. It is well written and easy to understand and follow. I cannot stress enough how much this book changed my life! Good luck to all of you out there struggling with infertility and don't give up!

And guidance through a struggle where not much is given with western medicine. I would recommend anyone struggling with infertility to read her book.

I have tried all herbs and remedies in this book and it was an expensive experience. Lol. I took this book to my acupuncturist and they enjoyed looking at it too. It tells how and where you put acupressure points with your own fingers. I haven't finished reading entire book only my portion where what's wrong with me and the remedies. Still hopeful.
