Very well detailed. Impressed with how much the author has been able to study and analyze the culture as an outsider. I felt that the book did not praise/appreciate the austerities of the nuns and was slightly on the negative side.

This is a good introduction of Terapanth sect of Jainism with a detailed fieldwork done by the author.
