This text really helps you work through many of the issues. It's helpful to have a more thoroughly conceptual book with it, but if you want to work through many of the debates/areas of judgement then this book will help tremendously, but you really have to force yourself to consider the questions and cases.

Great, concise book

exactly what I wanted, thank you!

This book is terrible. It doesn't explain things well and doesn't give enough examples. It is very dense and I found myself having to read the chapters over again to get the information and usually had to have the professor explain it. The one good thing about it are the chapter summaries and the practical exercises at the end of each chapter.

If you have a class that requires this book, then this is the book for you. Easy to read and well explained statistical/scientific concepts, with exercises for using them for test development.
